Capacity Building
on Conservation of Albanian Wetland Ecosystems
The Project "Capacity Building on Conservation of Albanian Wetland Ecosystems (ALWET)" which is financed by the Life Third Countries and co-financed by the General Directorate of Forestry and Pastures, is jointly executed by the Environmental Centre for Administration and Technology (ECAT Tirana) and the Greek Biotope-Wetland Centre (EKBY Greece) with the support of the Albanian Ministry of Environment.

On 6th of June 2005, the 2nd training seminar of the ALWET Project was completed successfully at INIMA's premises, in Tirana Albania. Trainees list  


On 1st of June 2005, the 2nd training seminar of the ALWET Project will take place in Tirana Albania, at the premises of the INIMA computer room. The seminar, entitled "Beginners' seminar on Wetland Inventory using Information Systems"  is addressed at Albanian scientists involved in wetland conservation and management. Timetable

The kickoff meeting of the ALWET project was successfully convened on 14th of April 2004, in the premises of the Albanian Ministry of Environment at Tirana, Albania. Representatives from all pertinent services, institutes and organizations expressed great interest in participating in the training on wetland inventories and electronic data management applying GIS tools.
